O Allah, send prayers upon our master and patron Muhammad, the bearer of the Crown, the Mi’raj, the Buraq and the Banner, the repeller of affliction, epidemics, drought, illness and pain. His name is inscribed, exalted, granted intercession and engraved upon the Preserved Tablet and the Pen. He is the master of the Arabs and the non-Arabs, whose body is sanctified, perfumed, purified and illumined in the Sacred House and the Sacred Sanctuary. He is the sun of the morning brightness, the full moon of the dark night, the foremost in exalted rank, the light of guidance, the refuge of creation, the lamp amid the darkness. He is of beautiful character, the intercessor for all nations, the possessor of munificence and generosity. Allah is his Protector, Jibril his servant, the Buraq his mount, the Mi’raj his voyage, the Lote Tree of the Uttermost Boundary his station, and “two bows’ length or nearer” his attainment. His desire is that which is sought, and that which is sought is his ultimate purpose. He is the master of the Messengers, the Seal of the Prophets, the intercessor for sinners, the companion of strangers, a mercy to the worlds, the delight of divine lovers, the cherished desire of those who long for Him, the sun of those who truly know Allah, the lamp of those who tread the spiritual path, the lantern of those brought near to Allah, the lover of the poor, the strangers and the destitute. He is the master of the two weighty things (humankind and jinn), the Prophet of the Two Sanctuaries, the Imam of the Two Qiblas, our means in both abodes, the one who reached two bows’ length, the beloved of the Lord of the Two Easts and the Two Wests, the grandfather of Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn, our master and the master of humankind and jinn, Abu al-Qasim, Muhammad ibn Abdullah, a light from the Light of Allah. O you who long for the light of his beauty, send abundant prayers and peace upon him, his family and his Companions.
